Commuter and Off Campus Support
Commuter students are an active and vital part of the Mount community. We provide services and resources to support, connect and engage commuter students, and help them to succeed at the Mount.
Take classes at either campus.
While Chalon is home to our traditional undergraduate students, classes are offered at both the Chalon and Doheny campuses. You'll have the opportunity to select classes that work with your schedule. Choose the location that's most convenient for you — whether that's in downtown Los Angeles of the hills of Santa Monica.
Take the shuttle!
We offer a shuttle that runs between campuses frequently each day of the week. It's FREE for students and is a great way for you to get some studying (or napping) done while commuting. Monday through Friday, shuttles run beginning at 5:25 a.m. until 9:40 p.m. Plus, the shuttle also offers pick-ups and drop-offs at both Union Station and on Sunset Boulevard and Saltair.
Find your study spot on campus.
There are plenty of places to study, relax and hang out with friends on campus when you're in between classes. From the library and the newly renovated student lounge to hammocks in the quad and the Carousel Coffee Shop — you’ll find your own favorite space on campus!
Stay engaged with campus happenings.
With many events going on each day, it's likely that you won't have to go out of your way to stay involved. Jacky Martinez, a current Mount student who commutes from Santa Clarita, shares that two of her favorite events are the Mount Carnival (especially the free food trucks) and the free Farmer's Market: "It was great to be at the Farmer's Market on campus with my friends, and then I took the food home and prepared dinner with my family."
