Services Provided on Both Campuses

Telephone and voicemail service are provided for all residents. Each telephone is equipped with an open line that provides free on-campus calls. For questions or problems with telephones and phone service, please contact Telecommunications at x4357 (Chalon) or x2970 (Doheny). All residents must use the University issued telephone in their rooms.

For students looking to explore Los Angeles or travel between campuses, the University provides a free shuttle service to the community. Visit Parking & Transit to learn more.

Explore LA Shuttle

The Explore LA Shuttle is for current Mount Saint Mary's Chalon Campus students only. The Explore LA Shuttle offers afternoon and evening service, seven days a week to various places around Westwood/West LA and Santa Monica/Venice. Shuttle stops include: the post office, the Westside Pavilion, UCLA Libraries, Santa Monica Place/Third Street Promenade, grocery stores, banks, the beach and more.

The Residence Desk is available for our residents' convenience from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week (unless otherwise noted in the Residence Desk schedule). The Residence Desk, which is run by Resident Assistants and our Community Assistants, is a centrally located place where students can loan out items, ask questions and submit work orders to repair things in their rooms. The Residence Desk is located on Brady 1st floor and offers a variety of services, such as:

  • Pool table equipment
  • Change for laundry (up to $5)
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Items for sale such as snacks, scantrons, pens, pencils, laundry detergent)
  • Keys (for lockouts)
  • DVD player
  • Vacuums
  • Work-order requests

Social lounges are located in all floors of Brady Hall, Rossiter Hall, Carondelet 1st floor, Carondelet 5th floor, Aldworth House, and Yates House. Social lounges are furnished with couches, tables, and cable television. Study lounges are located in Carondelet 2nd, Carondelet 3rd and Carondelet 4th.

Laundry rooms are conveniently located on Brady 3rd, Carondelet 1st, and Rossiter 2nd. The cost for laundry is $0.75 to wash and $0.50 to dry.

Computer labs are available for Chalon residents' use only. The computer labs are located on Brady 1st, Carondelet 1st and Rossiter 1st.

Residents receive their mailbox number and key during the first week after move-in. All residents are charged a $10 refundable deposit that is billed to their student account in order to get the mailbox key. You will get the deposit back when you return the key after graduation or upon termination of residency.

The Mailroom is located on the ground floor of Brady Hall. Stamps are also for sale at the Mailroom. All mail must be removed by the time you check out of the residence halls. Otherwise, any remaining mail in your box will be discarded. Make sure you are checking your mailbox regularly, as many departments on campus send important information via your campus mailbox.

Residents may submit work-order requests via . Residents will receive a confirmation through Engage ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ when their work order is processed. The email will reference a work order number for your request. If you wish to follow up with your request, please contact Facilities Management at 310.954-4340 (Chalon).

Students may use the cleaning supplies, vacuums, iron, and ironing boards that are in the residents' building living area.

Services Provided at Doheny Campus

Laundry rooms are located on every floor in McIntyre, on the ground level next to the Fitness Center in House 8 1/2, in the back house in House 20, and in the 2nd floor of Hannon Hall. The cost for laundry is $0.75 to wash and $0.50 to dry.

You can get up to $3.00 of quarters at the Residence Life Office (Hannon 123).
