Admission Requirements

Induction Program to Clear Credential

There are a few key minimum graduate admission requirements that students who wish to apply to the Induction program must meet to apply to 国产传媒.

  • A baccalaureate or professional degree (or equivalent foreign credential) from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university, earned by the expected date of entry.
  • A minimum 2.50 cumulative grade-point average (GPA). If your GPA does not meet the minimum requirement, you may submit a GPA addendum explaining the circumstances that affected your GPA.

Applicants are highly encouraged to submit (and complete, if possible) their application by the upcoming deadline to be considered for maximum scholarship funding. Applications received after the deadline are welcome and will be reviewed on a space-available basis.

Required application components

The following items are required as part of our holistic application process. Please note, however, that the admission committee reserves the right to request additional documents, such as letters of recommendation, to make an informed decision.

Applicants must submit an online Graduate Application in order to be considered for admission.

Applicants must submit a copy of their teaching credential record/log, as rendered by the CCTC website’s searchable database (and not the actual certificate). Please print and save your CCTC record/log as a PDF and send it as an attachment via email to graddocs@msmu.edu.

Applicants are required to submit a resume. Please make sure to outline all your academic, professional, and teaching experiences, along with the dates they began and ended. You may upload your resume to your online application or send it afterwards as an attachment to graddocs@msmu.edu.

The Principal Form is used to verify eligibility. The form will be automatically and electronically sent to the principal upon entry of their information on the online application. Once your principal completes the form, it will automatically be returned to the Graduate Admission Office for processing.

Applicants who have five or more years of teaching experience are welcome to apply to the Accelerated Induction Program. The Accelerated Evaluation Form will be automatically sent to an applicant’s principal for verification upon entry of their principals’ information on the online application.

Each applicant must sign and date a Candidate Disposition Statement found on the online application. You will review and acknowledge the statement and dispositions before submitting the online application.

Once an application is complete, applicants will be invited to meet with a faculty advisor to discuss academic and professional goals, ensure such goals align with the program the applicant intends to pursue and determine possible eligibility for additional grants or scholarships.

GRE
The Graduate Record Examination is NOT required.

Decisions are made and communicated 4-6 weeks from the time your application is complete.
