About the Center
Our Mission
The Center for Global Initiatives promotes the comprehensive internationalization of Mount Saint Mary’s University by serving as a catalyst and platform for global undergraduate research, faculty scholarship and intellectual dialogue.
At the core of its mission, CGI fosters participation by the University’s students, faculty and staff in global experiences both on campus and abroad.
We help Mount students develop cultural fluency and become true ambassadors of the world. To accomplish that, the Center provides a range of experiences spanning from traditional study abroad and exchange student opportunities to faculty-led research trips through our Global Women in STEM and Policy Undergraduate Research Training Honors program.
In addition, the Center provides support for international students, scholars and staff who visit the University, and fosters international relationships with other institutions, organizations, offices and individuals.
Our vision is to educate and develop global leaders to engage in a dynamic and diverse society.
