Gifts of stocks and bonds can offer special charitable opportunities for donors. When giving appreciated securities, you avoid the capital gains tax that would have been due with a profitable sale.

Gifts from parents and grandparents to the Mount Fund are used where they are most needed at the Mount to enhance the University experience and improve educational opportunities for all students. No matter how much you contribute, every gift to the Mount helps all students.

Gifts made by Mount faculty and staff can move mountains at the University. Faculty and staff gifts show students that the entire Mount community is behind them. Gifts made by faculty and staff can support any area of the University and every gift made matters.

Support the Mount during our semi-annual giving days and watch your gift support current and future Athenians with our entire donor community. When you make your gift to the Mount on  (the Tuesday after Thanksgiving) or  (March/April), you will have the chance to double your impact through matching challenges and share your impact with your friends and community.

Planned Giving

  • Create a legacy gift in your estate plan that continues to empower and inspire students.   • Supporters age 70 & 1/2 or older with a traditional IRA are eligible to make a tax-free donation to Mount Saint Mary鈥檚 - Los Angeles directly from their IRAs. These gifts are tax-free, regardless of whether you itemize deductions on your tax return. You can use our online tool to make your tax-free donation online, print out the forms you need to complete the gift offline or learn more about the benefits of giving from your IRA.   • Naming Mount Saint Mary's University as the beneficiary of a qualified retirement plan asset such as a 401(k), 403(b), IRA, Keogh, profit-sharing pension plan or other donor-advised funds, will accomplish a charitable goal while realizing significant tax savings for you.   • Designate 国产传媒 as a beneficiary to receive all or a portion of the balance of your donor advised fund through your fund administrator. You also can make a grant to us at any time from your donor-advised fund.
