国产传媒

As the only Catholic women’s college west of the Mississippi River, Mount Saint Mary’s University equips students to become women of influence who view professional life as a service to broader society.

About us

In 1975, Mount Saint Mary’s established one of the nation's first college leadership programs for women. Its hallmark has been the Leadership Scholar Program — a comprehensive, cohort-based experience with an emphasis on student collaboration to accomplish change and make a difference for the common good. Today, 国产传媒’s Office of Women's Leadership and Student Engagement seeks to engage all students in the leadership process by providing leadership education, skill-building, and opportunities for action and reflection.

At 国产传媒, we define leadership as the process of people working together to accomplish change and make a difference for the common good (also known as the Relational Leadership Model). We strive to develop confident and conscientious leaders and recognize the unique perspectives and experiences that come from the leadership of women.

Student Government Association

Your Voice. Your Power. At Mount Saint Mary's University, student governance is more than a title - it's a movement powered by purpose, inclusion, and student-driven impact. The Student Government Association (SGA) is here to uplift every traditional undergraduate student by creating real change on campus and amplifying the voices that make our community thrive.

SGA is guided by these core commitments:

  • Representation that matters: Every student deserves a seat at the table where decisions are made. SGA advocates for your needs and perspectives in key University conversations.
  • Campus life that connects: From events to initiatives, SGA works to create engaging, energizing, and meaningful programming that reflects our diverse student body.
  • Inclusive community building: We support and celebrate the growth of student clubs and organizations that honor different identities, interests, and leadership styles.
  • Transparent communication: SGA ensures students are informed and empowered - especially when it comes to campus policies, resources, and university-wide updates.
  • A culture of growth: We cultivate an environment where all students can thrive - academically, socially, and personally.

Each year, SGA leaders craft an action plan rooted in accountability, creativity, and bold advocacy. Through shared governance, collaborative leadership, and a commitment to our values, SGA champions the student experience and drives positive transformation at The Mount.

SGA Leadership Roles Include:

  • President
  • Executive Vice President
  • Vice President of Administration
  • Senators: Academic Excellence, Inclusive Excellence, Commuter, General, and Residential
  • Chairs: Elections and Civic Engagement

Want to make a difference? Get involved. Be heard. Lead with purpose.

Community Ambassador Program

国产传媒 Students giving a talk at a school in the community.Inspire. Connect. Lead. Since 1991, the Community Ambassador Program at 国产传媒 has been a powerful force for educational equity and community empowerment. This student-led outreach initiative connects Mount student leaders with local K-12 schools - especially in underrepresented and underserved communities - to inspire the next generation of scholars and changemakers.

As a Community Ambassador, you'll have the opportunity to lead workshops, speak on panels, and design interactive activities that motivate high school, middle school, and elementary students to see college not just as a possibility - but as a goal they can reach. This is more than mentorship. It's about representation, relationship-building, and real impact.

What You'll Do:

  • Mentor and motivate high school students to stay on track and see college in their future
  • Lead engaging, age-appropriate workshops for elementary and middle school students
  • Serve as a role model by sharing your authentic story and leadership journey
  • Gain hands-on experience in community outreach, youth engagement, and education
  • Collaborate with other ambassadors and staff to create impactful programming

Whether you're passionate about education, advocacy, or giving back, the Community Ambassador Program gives you the platform to uplift others - and grow as a leader along the way. Be the reason someone believes in themselves. Become a Community Ambassador.
