Since joining Mount Saint Mary’s a year ago, Dr. Crocker has focused on strengthening campus partnerships, expanding student support services, and building new programs that provide enriching and transformative experiences for students.

Among the new initiatives, she highlights the creation of two innovative themed-learning communities launching this fall. In collaboration with academic departments, Campus Ministry and Spirituality and the Office of Residence Life and Housing Services, these residential programs will offer students enriching co-curricular experiences focused on artistic expression and exploring Los Angeles through the lens of film and media.

A Southern Californian native, Dr. Crocker was drawn to the Mount by its mission and dedication to students’ success. “Everyone here is truly united and invested in providing students with a top-notch education and the best experience possible,” she says. Describing Mount students as “determined and community-orientated,” Dr. Crocker emphasizes the unique leadership opportunities available to them. She believes the Student Affairs division plays a vital role in providing a holistic educational experience, complementing academic pursuits with critical resources and cocurricular opportunities for students to thrive. “College is such a rich time for development, experimentation and learning. Support from student affairs allows students to explore many paths as they prepare for successful careers.”

Dr. Crocker brings over 15 years of student affairs experience focused on student well-being, advising, support services and retention. Prior to joining the Mount, she served as Campus Director of Student Affairs for West Coast University, Los Angeles. Her previous roles have included Assistant Dean of Students at UCLA and Assistant Director for Crisis Management at Loyola Marymount University. Dr. Crocker earned her Doctorate of Education and a Master of Student Affairs degrees at UCLA and received her bachelor’s degree in communication from UC San Diego.
