Over 5,000 people gathered at Mount Saint Mary’s University’s Doheny Campus on October 31 to experience the “spooktacular” Haunted Halloween Campus celebration. From elaborately decorated haunted houses to interactive activities and entertainment, the evening was packed with fun for guests of all ages. The Halloween celebration, an annual tradition for the University and local community, brought together students, families, and community members to enjoy festive frights in a safe, family-friendly setting.

This year, Mount Saint Mary’s University welcomed special guests Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez, who joined the festivities and toured the decorated campus. Mayor Bass took time to greet families and students, expressing appreciation for the University’s commitment to fostering community spirit. Councilmember Hernandez, who represents District 1 where the Doheny Campus is located, met with student volunteers, recognizing their efforts in creating a memorable event.

“This event exemplifies the spirit of community at Mount Saint Mary’s. We are proud to offer a space where neighbors and students can come together and celebrate in a safe, welcoming environment,” said Mount Saint Mary’s President Ann McElaney-Johnson, PhD.

The event was powered by student, faculty and staff volunteers, whose dedication helped bring the event to life. Volunteers organized and led a variety of activities, from collecting and distributing thousands of pounds of candy to coordinating the ever-popular costume contests. Their support was essential to ensuring a smooth and memorable experience for every guest.

Haunted Halloween Campus remains an unforgettable night of fun, festivity and connection for the Mount community.
