Mount Saint Mary鈥檚 University Traditions compiles almost 100 years of the University鈥檚 history, rituals, culture and students鈥 traditions.

Since its founding in 1925, Mount Saint Mary鈥檚 University has graduated more than 23,000 students seeking to improve their lives and become leaders in their communities. For almost 100 years, students, faculty, staff and alumnae have been honoring and contributing to the Mount traditions, which have been passed down from generation to generation. Now, all these traditions and history are compiled in one book, Mount Saint Mary鈥檚 University Traditions, released by the University this month.

The comprehensive book accounts for much of the University鈥檚 history, rituals, culture and students鈥 traditions. Readers can learn about the Mount鈥檚 founders, the school motto, and the official seal and mascot, among many other aspects that form the identity and culture of the only women鈥檚 university in Los Angeles. The book also includes information about the history of both campuses and descriptions about the many unique activities and celebrations that belong to the Mount student life and campus experiences.

鈥淭he Mount and our impact in the community are part of the history of Los Angeles.
