Lea FitzgeraldLeah FitzGerald, PhD, dean and Fletcher Jones Endowed Chair of nursing, presented grand rounds at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) on Nov. 21. She presented on “Achieving Oral Health through Interprofessional Collaborative Practice.” Many Mount Saint Mary's nursing students have clinical rotations at CHLA. 

Ruby Harford ’82, ’10 MS, PhD, had her work, titled “,” published in the Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved. She is an alumna of the Mount’s BSN & MSN programs. Harford is the CEO of Atlantis Health Group in Puerto Rico and teaches healthcare policy to the leadership students in the University’s master of science in nursing program.

Stephen InrigStephen Inrig, PhD, appeared as a guest expert on a pair of media outlets around the time of World AIDS Day. On Nov. 28, he spoke on KPCC’s “AirTalk with Larry Mantle,” in a segment titled: “” On Dec. 1, he appeared as an in-studio guest expert on to discuss the AIDS pandemic. Inrig, an associate professor and director of the Healthcare Administration graduate program, recently co-authored the book, “The AIDS Pandemic: Searching for a Global Response.”

Lee Newsam BookPhysical therapy professors Alan Lee, PhD, DPT, and Craig Newsam, DPT, co-authored a chapter on aging skin for the digital textbook “” by Carole B. Lewis, et al. It was published in October by Wolters Kluwer Publishing.
