Dr. Stephanie Collazo is a dedicated nursing educator and leader who is passionate about helping students grow with confidence, clarity, and purpose. With a lifelong commitment to patient care and more than 40 years of nursing experience, she brings deep real鈥憌orld insight from roles in ICU, cardiovascular care, trauma, organ procurement, and correctional nursing. She has also served as a hospital director, house supervisor, and charge nurse. Her extensive clinical journey has shaped the way she teaches and strives to remain grounded, compassionate, and always connected to practice.

As a senior faculty member and Dean of Nursing at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, Dr. Collazo supports all nursing faculty in designing learning experiences that are engaging, supportive, and aligned with the realities of modern nursing.

She believes deeply in the potential of every learner and is committed to preparing nurses who embody the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet by serving “the dear neighbor without distinction.” She affirms that compassion, humility, empathy, courage, creativity, inclusivity, and spirituality are essential values for every nurse.
