Biography

With over 30 years in nursing and 25 years of teaching experience in higher education, Dr. Nickerson is an Associate Professor of Nursing. She teaches Leadership, Management, and Health Policy. As a clinician, Dr. Nickerson has had various Acute and Outpatient Care posts. Her specialties include - Leadership and Professional Nursing, Roy Adaptation Theory, Chronic Illness Care, Global Health, Public Health, Mobile Health Technology, Travel Medicine, Patient Advocacy and Health Care Reform Issues, Integrative Nursing, Innovative Pedagogy, and Experiential Learning.
