Biography
Dr. Jazmine Miyake-Iki, Psy.D. (she/her/hers) is a licensed psychologist at Counseling and Psychological Services. She received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology. She also received her master’s degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from Pepperdine University.
Jazmine’s doctoral dissertation research explored the impact of intergenerational trauma, due to the Japanese American internment camps, on parent-child relationships. Her clinical interests include identity development, relationship issues, disordered eating, body image issues, as well as anxiety and depression. Jazmine takes a multi-culturally affirming approach to therapy and utilizes evidence-based treatment practices, which include cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
Jazmine identifies as a 4th generation Japanese American (also known as Yonsei). Jazmine was born and raised in Southern California and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her adorable dog, Goober.
