The BA in Religious Studies allows you to explore the following questions: 

• Am I curious about the beliefs and practices of other religious traditions? 
• Do I want to learn more about the morals and ethics of other religious traditions? 
• What do I understand about gender, ethnicity, spirituality and culture and how these influence other religious traditions? 
• I have a religious affiliation and beliefs, but do I want to have an adult understanding of what my religious identity means? 

Your degree will be divided into the following five categories: 

• Scripture 
• Christian thought 
• Christian ethics 
• Religion and religions 
• Special offerings

Social Justice and Sexual Diversity minor 

This minor provides students with an opportunity to examine sexual diversity and religious discourse through the lens of social justice as expressed in the Catholic intellectual tradition. Sexual diversity manifests itself in various forms of identity, expression, gender and embodiment. This minor weaves affirmation of sexual diversity with themes of social justice: human dignity, rights and responsibilities; solidarity and community with the marginalized; and stewardship of creation. The methodology is praxis-based and interdisciplinary, and provides opportunities for local and global advocacy by and for the sexually marginalized.
