- How do we sustain ourselves and lead others to do the same?
- What sources do we turn to for inspiration as we work to make the world a better place?
- How do we stay centered and connected in a rapidly changing world?

Luis and Trini Rodriguez founded Tia Chucha's Centro Cultural & Bookstore in 2001 to fill a gap in culture, arts, and literacy programming for the northeast San Fernando Valley. The center includes the only bookstore, art gallery, film space, and workshops in music, art, dance, theater, writing, and more for half-a-million people in the northeast Valley, mostly Mexican and Central American. We also hold the only outdoor annual arts & literacy festival in the San Fernando Valley, "Celebrating Words," as well as programs like "Indigenous in Us," and more. A community-based nonprofit, we also run Tia Chucha Press, one of the most renowned small presses in the country, and are active in community empowerment, youth mentorship, healthy food advocacy, community dialogues, readings and book signings, among other work.
