STEM Scholarship
About the program
Students in the Mount Saint Mary’s University “Expanding STEM Scholar Support System (S4x)” are part of an innovative, proven success program that prepares underserved students for careers in science, technology, engineering, mathematics. The “Expanding STEM Scholar Support” program will provide $10,000 renewable scholarships to 25 academically talented scholars who have unmet financial need and who will be majoring in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, and math. STEM scholars will participate in undergraduate research, and have assigned faculty and peer mentors. Workshops, supplemental instruction and programs that engage the entire family will also be available to our Scholars.
To be considered for the STEM Scholarship, students must be majoring in biology, biochemistry, chemistry or math. STEM scholars nominees will be asked to write a short personal statement and may be selected to interview with a faculty member.
