Institutional Planning and Research serves Mount Saint Mary’s University by providing sound, action-oriented research in order to support institutional assessment, decision-making, and strategic planning. The office strives to provide consistent and accurate information that will help decision-makers to act on behalf of students and the community to foster student success and institutional effectiveness.

Data and Reports
First Destination Survey (2022)
The 国产传媒 Class of 2022 First Destination Survey was administered to all 国产传媒 students who graduated in the Spring of 2022 in order to gather post-graduation data approximately six months from graduation. The Office of Institutional Planning & Research collaborated with Enrollment Management, Alumni Relations, and Student Affairs to develop the questions. Respondents were entered into a random drawing for a chance to win one of six $100 Amazon gift cards. The survey was administered via Qualtrics from November 11, 2022 to February 11, 2023. Nine hundred and seventeen students were invited to take the survey; 178 completed the survey with an overall response rate of 19%.
Future Plans of Undergraduate Students (2023)
In Spring 2023, all eligible graduating undergraduate students had the option to take the Graduating Student Survey (GSS). The GSS is a component of the registration form required to attend a commencement ceremony. This report summarizes the responses from undergraduate seniors about their future education and employment plans, use of career services, and gains in knowledge and abilities.
Four hundred ninety-one undergraduate students were eligible for graduation at the time of commencement and survey administration. Three hundred fifty undergraduate students chose to participate in the 2023 Graduating Senior Survey, yielding a response rate of 71%.
Future Plans of Graduate Students (2023)
In Spring 2023, all students eligible to graduate had access to complete the Graduating Student Survey (GSS) survey about their future education and employment plans. The GSS is a component of the registration form required to attend a commencement ceremony. A total of 251 graduate students were eligible for graduation at the time of commencement and survey administration. This report focuses on the 171 graduate students (68% response rate) that completed the survey.
